Export your data, empty the budget or delete your account
Download your transactions as CSV, your shared loans or the whole budget as JSON whenever you want, start over by emptying it, or delete your Presupeso account for good.
On this page
Your data is yours. You can download all of it whenever you want, even if your subscription is suspended. And if you decide to start over or leave, you do it yourself from Settings, without writing to anyone.
Export: take your data with you
In Settings, in the «Your data» section, there are four downloads. Tap the one you want and the file is saved on your phone or computer, with the date in its name (for example, presupeso-2026-10-09.csv).
- Download transactions (CSV): your transactions in a table, to open in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. One row per transaction with the date, time, account, type, category, payee, note, amount with its currency, amount in the budget's currency, status and where it came from.
- Download everything (JSON): a full copy of the budget (accounts, groups, categories, assignments, transactions and exchange rates) and your shared loans and group funds, in a format other programs can read. It is your backup.
- Download shared loans (CSV): your loans with other people in a table, one row per entry: with whom (with the name you gave them), whether you lent or borrowed, the loan's status, which budget and account you keep it in, what was agreed, what is waiting to be confirmed and, for each entry, the type, date, amount, status, who wrote it down («tú», you, or «la otra persona», the other person), the note and the reason if someone said it wasn't right.
- Download group funds (CSV): your group funds in a table, one row per entry: the fund, its status, whether you organize or collect it, which budget and category you keep it in, what was collected, spent, given back and what's left and, for each share, expense or refund, who gave it and to whom, the date, the amount, the status, who wrote it down («tú», you, or «otra persona», someone else), the note and the reason if someone said it wasn't right.
The transactions and the JSON are of the budget you have open. If you keep several budgets, switch to each one and download it. In a shared budget, anyone in it can download it whole (viewers too), and the CSV has one more column, registrado_por, with who recorded each transaction («Andrés», «Laura (tú) · Claude»); the JSON says the same on each item (registradoPor) and never includes the others' other budgets. Your shared loans and group funds are yours, not a budget's: they all come in any of them, each saying which budget you keep it in.
From a shared loan you get the same as you see in the app, from your side. Nothing of the other person: not their budget, their accounts or their email.
Empty the budget: start over
If you want to start the same budget from scratch, empty it. The money and its history go, and the way you organized it stays, so you don't have to set it up again.
- First, download your JSON (above).
- Open Settings › Danger zone.
- Under «Empty this budget», read the two boxes: What gets deleted and What stays, with their numbers («342 transactions, 6 upcoming payments and 1 pending collection will be deleted. Your 5 accounts, 24 categories with their goals… stay»).
- If you want to keep seeing rent, utilities or your salary in Coming up, tick «Keep my recurring payments and collections (rent, utilities, salary)». Both boxes change to tell you how it ends up.
- Tap Empty budget. Presupeso repeats what is about to happen inside the screen. Type VACIAR in the box and, if you like, the reason («Why are you emptying it?»). Confirm.
- You'll see what was deleted, and the app takes you to the empty budget.
Only the budget's owner can empty it: someone who shares it with you to view or to edit cannot. Emptying doesn't touch your other budgets.
Deleted:
- every transaction and everything assigned, in every month;
- everything in Coming up: the payments and collections you expected, invoices you were owed (including those with a partial payment), your suppliers' invoices and your loan installments;
- your group savings (rotating savings, year-end savings clubs) with their contributions and your turn;
- your income splits, end-of-day counts and the statement links you sent to your customers (they no longer open).
Stays:
- your accounts, at $ 0;
- your groups and categories, with their goals;
- your split rules;
- your customers and suppliers (with their photos), and the product catalog;
- your shopping lists, with everything back to «to buy», and the prices Presupeso learned;
- your exchange rates, the inflation you entered, the connections with the other YSNOne apps, your conversations with the assistant and the change log, where it is noted that you emptied it.
See moreIf you tick «Keep my recurring payments and collections»
The payments and collections that repeat (monthly rent, utilities, salary, your bank's account fee) and your group savings that are still active stay in Coming up. They stay clean, as if you had just added them: without what you already paid or collected, for the full amount and with their next date from today on. A payment that was overdue moves to its next date; a collection with a partial payment waits for the whole amount again. Your group savings keep their agreement (the contribution, the turns, the members), but with no contributions made and no members' payments recorded.
What doesn't repeat is deleted anyway: invoices you were owed, your suppliers' invoices and your loan installments, because they were about money that is no longer in the budget.
See moreAfter emptying, your accounts are at $ 0
The balance of each account in Presupeso is the sum of its transactions, and the balance you created it with is also a transaction. Emptying removes everything, so each account ends up at $ 0 (and so does what your customers owed you or what you owed your suppliers). To start with the real balances, open each account and reconcile it with what your bank says: Presupeso records the difference as a «Reconciliation adjustment», and that money goes to Ready to assign (money you already have that doesn't have a job yet) so you can give it one.
See moreIf you moved money between this budget and another of yours
What happened between the two (a contribution, a loan, a salary) is deleted in this budget. In the other one it stays, as a normal transaction: it no longer shows as linked to this one. More in Move money between your budgets.
Delete a whole budget
If a budget is no longer useful (a business you closed, a test one), you can delete it entirely, with its accounts, categories and transactions. Your other budgets are not touched.
Careful
Deleting a budget cannot be undone: not even we can recover it. Download its JSON first, in case you ever want to look something up.
- First, download its JSON (above).
- Open it: tap the budget's name at the top and choose it.
- Open Settings › Budgets and, at the end, tap Delete this budget.
- Presupeso asks you inside the screen. Type BORRAR in the box and confirm with Delete this budget.
- The app takes you to another of your budgets and tells you it was deleted.
Only its owner can delete it, and never the last one you have left: with only one, the button is off and the screen reminds you that Empty budget is there to start over.
Delete your Presupeso account
- Download the JSON of each budget (the card has the link «First, download everything (JSON)»).
- If your subscription is active, cancel it first in Settings › Subscription so it doesn't renew.
- Open Settings › Danger zone and tap Delete my account.
- If you own budgets you keep with other people (shared budgets), the card asks what to do with each one: give it to one of those people (they become the owner and the budget goes on for everyone) or delete it for everyone (each of them gets a notice).
- Type BORRAR in the box and, if you like, tell us why you're leaving. Confirm.
This deletes:
- your budgets (the ones only you use), with their accounts, categories, transactions, Coming up and change log;
- your conversations with the assistant and your AI keys;
- your links with the YSNOne apps, with Telegram and your devices' notifications;
- everything Presupeso kept on that phone, including what you entered without signal and hadn't sent, and what let you in from your other devices.
In budgets someone else shared with you, you leave the list: what you recorded stays, without your name (the others see it with the name the owner gave you, or as «A person»).
If you have shared loans, they stay view-only for the other person, because they are theirs too. Nothing of you is left in them: not your name, your email or your account. They keep seeing you with the name they gave you in their Loans and IOUs. What you shared and nobody accepted is deleted entirely.
If you're in group funds, they go on for the others, without your name or anything of yours. But if you collect a fund that still has money or something waiting to be confirmed, your account isn't deleted: the card tells you which one, with a button to open it, and Delete my account stays off until you hand it to someone else or give back what's left. That money belongs to those who chipped in.
Your YSNOne account still exists, because the other apps use it; if you want to delete it too, that is done in OneAccount.
Careful
Deleting your account cannot be undone: we can't recover anything afterwards. Download each budget's JSON first, in case you ever want to come back.
If you'd rather we do it, or you want to exercise any other right over your data, write to support. More in the privacy policy.
Frequently asked
Can I open the CSV in Excel with accents shown correctly?
Yes. The file is prepared so Excel reads accents and «ñ» correctly. If they look odd in some program, open it from the «Import» menu and choose UTF-8 encoding.
Can I load my JSON back into Presupeso?
Not today. The JSON is your copy and your way to take the data to another program. To bring transactions from your bank into Presupeso, use Load the statement.
I emptied the budget by mistake. Can I get it back?
It can't be undone. If you downloaded the JSON first, all your transactions are there to look up; to start again, reconcile each account with the bank balance and add again in Coming up what you were expecting.
I emptied the budget and something still shows in Coming up
If you ticked «Keep my recurring payments and collections», those are the recurring ones: rent, utilities, salary. If you don't want them, cancel them from Coming up. Before version 5.21.1, emptying left everything in Coming up as it was; if you emptied before that, cancel by hand what no longer expects anything.
What is left of me after deleting the account?
A record that you deleted it (with the reason, if you wrote one) and your subscription's billing history. Your finances are not kept. In your shared loans, the other person keeps seeing the amounts and what was written down, but not your name: they see you with the one they gave you.
